Spy x Family manga posters
Anya, Loid and Yor star in our Spy x Family manga posters. Instant download, print at any size.
Spy x Family follows a family in which everyone hides something. Loid Forger, the Westalian spy codenamed Twilight, needs a wife and a child to get close to Donovan Desmond, so he adopts Anya Forger and marries Yor Forger. Anya is a telepath who reads both of their minds, and Yor is an assassin known as the Thorn Princess. Bond Forger, the dog they adopt, can see the future. Around them are Anya's classmates Damian Desmond and Becky Blackbell, Yor's brother Yuri Briar of the Secret Police and Loid's fellow spy Fiona Frost.
The Forger Family's Secrets
Each member of the Forger family hides a secret from the others. Loid does not know that Yor is an assassin, and Yor does not know that Loid is a spy. Neither of them knows that Anya reads minds or that Bond sees the future. Only Anya knows everything, and she keeps quiet so that the family can stay together.
Spies and assassins in Spy x Family go by codenames. The WISE agents Twilight and Nightfall are named after times of day, while Garden's assassins take plant names such as Thorn Princess and Hemlock. Loid's real name has never been revealed.
Anya's papers say she is six, but the author has hinted that she is about five. No record of her birth exists. Yor is 27 and Yuri 20, while Loid's cover story says he is 32; his real age is unknown. Damian, Becky and their classmates are six and Damian's brother Demetrius is 14, while Henry Henderson is 66. No official birthdays have been given.
Loid and Yor married for convenience: he needed a wife for Anya's school interview, and she needed a husband to avoid the suspicion that falls on single women. Neither knows the other's secret job. Over time their feelings change. In the manga Yor admits to Anya that she might be in love with Loid and later tells Yuri that she loves her husband, and when Secret Police officers ask Loid whether he loves Yor, he says yes.
Anya and Damian
Damian has liked Anya since she apologized to him in tears after punching him on their first day at Eden Academy, though his pride makes him deny it. Anya, who can hear his thoughts, has not noticed: to her, Damian is a bully and the key to Plan B, her father's plan to reach Donovan Desmond through his son. The bus hijacking, when Damian demands that the bomb collar be put on him instead of Anya, brings them closer, and in the manga they dance together at the school gala.
Eden Academy, Stella Stars and Imperial Scholars
Eden Academy is an elite school in Berlint with more than 500 years of history. Students earn Stella Stars for top grades or good deeds and Tonitrus Bolts for misconduct or failing grades: eight Stellas make a student an Imperial Scholar, and eight Tonitrus Bolts mean expulsion. Imperial Scholars are invited to events that Donovan Desmond attends, which is why Loid needs Anya to collect eight Stellas. She earns her first for saving a drowning boy and her second during the bus hijacking, but she also collects Tonitrus Bolts, the first for punching Damian.
WISE, Garden and the Secret Police
Three secret organizations shape the story. WISE, the Westalian intelligence service, sends Twilight to protect the peace between the two countries. Garden, a centuries-old group of Ostanian assassins led by the Shopkeeper, employs Yor. The State Security Service, which the public calls the Secret Police, hunts spies like Twilight, and Yuri is one of its officers. Donovan Desmond leads the National Unity Party, which ruled Ostania during the last war.
