Bastard München
Yoichi Isagi
Yoichi Isagi is the hero of Blue Lock, a striker who passed instead of shooting in a high school final and joined the project ranked 299th of 300. His spatial awareness and Direct Shot win the U-20 match, and in the manga he awakens Metavision and battles Kaiser at Bastard München.
Meguru Bachira is Isagi's first friend in Blue Lock, a free-spirited dribbler who plays alongside the imaginary "monster" he has carried since childhood. He scores Team Z's first goal against Team V with a rabona, and in the manga he becomes FC Barcha's star under Lavinho.
Rin Itoshi becomes Blue Lock's No. 1 as soon as he appears, a cold, precise striker who moves the players around him like puppets. He captains the Blue Lock Eleven against Japan U-20, where he stops his older brother Sae in their final duel and the loose ball falls to Isagi for the winner.

Sae Itoshi is Rin's older brother, a passing genius who plays for Re Al's youth team in Spain and belongs to the New Generation World 11. He agrees to play for Japan U-20 against Blue Lock, scores the opening goal and sets up Shidou's first goal with a free kick.
Don Lorenzo is the Ubers center back called the "Ace Eater" because he marks the other team's best player and never stops, like a zombie. Known as the best U-20 center back in the world, he appears only in the manga, where he belongs to the New Generation World 11.
Michael Kaiser is Bastard München's star striker and a member of the New Generation World 11, so far seen in the anime only in the last scene of Season 2. In the manga his lightning-fast Kaiser Impact and his clashes with Isagi drive the Neo Egoist League.
Seishiro Nagi is a lazy genius who only started playing soccer after Reo saw him catch a falling phone with his foot. His perfect trapping makes him Team V's ace and gives Blue Lock its first goal against Japan U-20, and the film Blue Lock: Episode Nagi tells his story.
Hyoma Chigiri is Team Z's fastest player, held back at first by the fear of injuring his knee again. Against Team W he finally sprints all out to score the 4-4 equalizer, and in the manga he plays on the wing for Manshine City under Chris Prince.
Rensuke Kunigami is Team Z's self-described superhero, a big striker with a powerful left foot who scores against Team X and twice against Team V. Eliminated in the Second Selection, he returns through the secret Wild Card program, colder and rebuilt, for Bastard München in the manga.
Ryusei Shidou is a wild, acrobatic striker who ranks second in Blue Lock's Top 6 and idolizes Sae. Left out of the Blue Lock Eleven, he plays for Japan U-20 instead and scores twice against Blue Lock, once with a bicycle kick. In the manga he joins Paris X Gen.
Vivien Hugo is the playmaker of France U-20 and a member of the New Generation World 11 who wants to be the shadow behind Julian Loki. He appears in the manga's U-20 World Cup, where he scores once and sets up two goals in France's 4-2 win over Japan.
Noel Noa is the world's best striker and Isagi's childhood idol. In the manga he comes to Blue Lock as Bastard München's master striker, coaches the German side of the Neo Egoist League and turns out to be a former teammate of Jinpachi Ego.
Alexis Ness is Michael Kaiser's devoted playmaker at Bastard München, a magician with the ball who sets up the first Kaiser Impact goal. Hostile to Isagi at first, he passes him the ball for the league-winning goal in the final Neo Egoist League match against Paris X Gen.
Shoei Barou calls himself the King, a domineering striker who scores four goals against Team Z for Team X. Isagi and Nagi take him into their team, where he rediscovers his ego and later scores the 3-3 goal against Japan U-20. Off the pitch he is obsessed with cleaning and good manners.
Bunny Iglesias is FC Barcha's tall Spanish striker and a member of the New Generation World 11, known for his scissor-kick volleys. He appears in the manga, scores in the Copa del Rey final while Isagi watches and is Sae Itoshi's longtime rival.
Oliver Aiku is the captain of Japan U-20, a former forward who became a center back with superb spatial awareness. He blocks Yukimiya's shot with a flying header in the U-20 match, and in the manga he joins Ubers and captains the new Japan U-20.

Julian Loki is the youngest member of Team World Five, a French prodigy whose speed is called Godspeed. In the manga he is Paris X Gen's master striker, the youngest of the five. He scores twice against Japan at the U-20 World Cup.
Reo Mikage is the rich heir of the Mikage Corporation, who recruited Nagi so the two could win the World Cup together. When Nagi leaves him for Isagi, Reo builds his Chameleon copying weapon and comes off the bench against Japan U-20 to stop Shidou.
Charles Chevalier is the 15-year-old heart of Paris X Gen, a playmaker trained by Julian Loki to be his personal passer. He appears only in the manga, where he sets up goals for Rin and Shidou and scores for France against Japan at the U-20 World Cup.
Yo Hiori is a gifted passer who, as the manga reveals, was raised by two former athletes to become a soccer prodigy. He comes off the bench against Japan U-20 with a long pass compared to Sae's, and in the manga he sets up Isagi's winner for Bastard München against Ubers.
Kenyu Yukimiya is a model and a one-on-one dribbler who ranks fifth in Blue Lock's Top 6. In the manga his spinning Gyro Shot wins a match for Bastard München, and he reveals that an eye disease is slowly taking his sight.
Lavinho is FC Barcha's Brazilian master striker, nicknamed the Dancer for his perfect, rhythmic dribbling. In the manga he coaches the Spanish side of the Neo Egoist League, where his style pairs with Bachira's monster.
Gin Gagamaru joins Blue Lock as an acrobatic Team Z striker, but his spring-like body makes him the Blue Lock Eleven's goalkeeper. His saves keep Blue Lock alive against Japan U-20, and in the manga he guards the goal for Bastard München.

Blue Lock manga posters
Yoichi Isagi and Sae Itoshi star in our Blue Lock manga posters. Instant download, print at any size.
The ages come from the official character books and the profiles in the manga volumes. Most players are teenagers between 15 and 19: Isagi is 16 and turns 17 in the manga, Rin is 16, Sae 18 and Kaiser 19. Yukio Ishikari is the tallest at 200 cm, and the adults include Anri Teieri at 22, Jinpachi Ego at 30, Noel Noa at 31 and Marc Snuffy at 37.
In Blue Lock, a weapon is a player's unique skill, the thing that turns zero into one and breaks a defense. Ego tells every player to find his weapon, sharpen it and devour the weapons of others. These are the best-known weapons and moves; the ones marked "in the manga" have not appeared in the anime yet.
A one-touch passing link with Isagi at Bastard München in the manga
Blue Lock Teams: Team Z, Blue Lock Eleven and the Neo Egoist League
Isagi begins Blue Lock in Team Z, the lowest-ranked team of the First Selection, with Bachira, Chigiri, Kunigami, Gagamaru, Raichi, Igarashi and four others. After the Second and Third Selections the best players form the Blue Lock Eleven, which beats Japan U-20 4-3 to save the project. In the manga, five European clubs then bring their U-20 squads and master strikers to Blue Lock for the Neo Egoist League. Every Blue Lock player joins one of them, and contract offers from clubs around the world decide who makes Japan's U-20 World Cup squad.
Isagi grows through his rivals. Bachira is his first friend and partner in Team Z, then his opponent on Rin's team in the Second Selection and, in the manga, at FC Barcha. Rin, the top-ranked player, beats Isagi's teams twice in the Second Selection, but in the U-20 match Rin stops Sae's last dribble and Isagi volleys the loose ball in for the 4-3 winner. In the manga, Michael Kaiser, the star of Isagi's own team Bastard München, becomes his fiercest rival, and in the final match the two work together without a word to beat Rin and win the Neo Egoist League.
Reo Mikage, heir to a huge corporation, wanted the World Cup because it is the one thing money cannot buy. He recruited Seishiro Nagi after seeing him catch a falling phone with his foot. The two led Team V until the Second Selection, when Nagi chose to join Isagi instead and broke up their partnership. Reo answered by building his Chameleon weapon, and both made the Blue Lock Eleven. In the manga they play together again for Manshine City. The spin-off manga and the movie Blue Lock: Episode Nagi tell their story from Nagi's side.
Rin and Sae Itoshi
Rin and Sae Itoshi are brothers. Sae, two years older, became Japan's greatest prodigy and went to Spain to play for Re Al's youth team, while Rin set out to beat him and became Blue Lock's top-ranked striker. In the U-20 match they meet as opponents: Sae scores the opening goal for Japan U-20, but in the last seconds Rin stops him in their final duel, and the loose ball falls to Isagi for the 4-3 winner.
Watch Blue Lock in release order: Season 1, then the movie Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, which retells the first two selections from Nagi's side, then Season 2. A third season adapting the Neo Egoist League arc was announced in 2025. The manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, running in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2018, is far ahead of the anime.
